Our Story.
In 2009 husband and wife team, Jonathan and Candice McCoy, founded Outbox Design + Marketing as a freelance design agency. Their vision was simple - to make good design accessible for all businesses and organizations, regardless of size.
Outbox roots for the little guys. And while small businesses and organizations are our specialty, we don’t like to be put in a box. Our clients share a belief in the power of good design and see the design process as a valuable step in elevating the perception and positioning of their brand.
As a small business ourselves, we understand the need for connections – that’s why we’ve linked arms with a handful of talented freelancers (our strategic partners) in our field to assemble a powerful team for your next project. For our clients it means having full-service agency capabilities on a not-so-agency budget.

Co-Owner. Art Director. Project Manager. Visionary.
Jonathan received his bachelor of fine arts degree in graphic design and marketing from Oklahoma State University. He has in-depth experience in design and marketing for non-profits through his tenure at the Oklahoma State University Foundation, leading a creative team and serving as art director for the $1 billion Branding Success comprehensive fundraising campaign.
He has provided design consultation over the years for businesses ranging from fashion retail to complex b2b environments and specializes in non-profit organizations.
Candice McCoy /
Co-Owner. Photographer. Copywriter. Blogger. World Traveler.
Candice is formally trained in English, receiving her bachelor of science in English Education from Oklahoma State University. Her extensive international travel in South East Asia has led her to spend most of her time sharing her passion for language with international students studying in the U.S. At the Outbox office, Candice brings a unique blend of strategic copywriting, editing, social media and photography.
